Finally made to to Lhasa yesterday and today we are flying to Kathmandu. Ready to get out!
ĆTomorrow we start our two day drive back to Lhasa where we’ll fly to Kathmandu!
It’s our last night in a tent!!! 6 weeks was plenty, thanks.
When I get home I’ll write up a final trip report with more summit details including our Tibetan kitchen boy getting detained and fined for giving me a ride on his morotorcycle today🙂
We made the summit in 4hrs 45min, and then pushed all the way back down to ABC. In total, our day was 15hrs. We were cruising!
More pictures and summit stories to come. We are headed down to EBC tomorrow for a rest day at a ‘low’ 17,000ft!
He made it! It is his story to tell, so it seems appropriate to post the progress map and wait for him to fill in the details. Way to go Bryan!
As you probably heard in Bryan’s audio post (see below), they arrived safe and sound to Camp 3/High Camp. The camp sounds gross, but the Alpenglow team doesn’t contribute to it getting grosser because they carry out their waste. Luckily they won’t have to stay too long because they will be leaving around 11:30pm Tibet time to head for the summit!. The doc reports Bryan is feeling great, and we should all send some strong vibes his way.
Once they leave, Alpenglow will be updating their blog as well as their Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat. Do as Tommy does and give it a gander.
Once again, Larry is pulling through with a progress map. Let’s hope this one isn’t up for long, as I have another waiting to upload!
