The expedition to Mt Vinson in Antarctica has officially been paid for, and the application for Everest in 2013 has been sent in as well.  I guess it’s time to get serious again about being ready to be on a mountain again.

Pretty stoked about my down suit coming in this week.  Too bad it’s still hot and I can’t just rock that thing 24/7.   Soon enough, I’ll be wearing it, and wishing I was back in the warmth of lower elevations.  I’m looking forward to getting all the last minute gear for both trips, and pumped about heading to Antarctica for a few weeks.  If I’m lucky, I’ll have a few days on either end of the trip to go and check out parts of Patagonia like Torres del Paine.

Good times.  I’ll likely have a satellite  phone while I’m down there and should be able to keep the blog updated through my dad.  I’ll post pics & trip reports as I can.
